    Product Description:
Anthracene-9,10-dione, commonly known as 9,10-anthraquinone, is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon derivative featuring a planar tricyclic structure with two ketone groups at the 9 and 10 positions. It serves as a fundamental building block in organic chemistry, primarily utilized as an oxidizing agent in the production of hydrogen peroxide via the anthraquinone process. In this industrial application, the compound undergoes catalytic hydrogenation to form anthrahydroquinone, which is then oxidized by air to regenerate anthraquinone and produce hydrogen peroxide. Additionally, anthraquinone derivatives are extensively employed as precursors for vat dyes and disperse dyes in the textile industry, and as key intermediates in the synthesis of certain pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. The compound also finds application in the paper and pulp industry as a pulping catalyst to enhance delignification efficiency. Due to its redox-active nature, it is further explored in organic semiconductor research and as a component in lithium-ion battery electrode materials.
