    Product Description:
Bis(3-amino-4-hydroxyphenyl) sulfone is a diamine monomer containing both amine and phenolic hydroxyl functional groups. Its chemical structure features a central sulfone group linking two aromatic rings, each substituted with an amino and a hydroxyl group in the meta and para positions, respectively. This compound is primarily used as a key precursor in the synthesis of high-performance polymers. It serves as a monomer for the production of polyamide-imides (PAI) and other advanced engineering plastics. These polymers are valued for their excellent thermal stability, mechanical strength, and chemical resistance, making them suitable for demanding applications in the aerospace, automotive, and electronics industries. The presence of both reactive sites allows for copolymerization with various dicarboxylic acids, anhydrides, or other monomers to tailor material properties. As a bifunctional aromatic amine, it also finds use as a specialized organic synthesis building block. Its unique structure makes it a candidate for synthesizing dyes, pigments, and other functional organic materials where the sulfone and phenolic groups impart specific electronic or solubility characteristics.
