    Product Description:
(1,1'-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene)palladium(II) dichloride, commonly abbreviated as Pd(dppf)Cl_, is a palladium(II) complex featuring a bidentate phosphine ligand (dppf) coordinated to a palladium center with two chloride ligands. It is a dark red to brown crystalline solid, stable under inert atmosphere, and highly soluble in common organic solvents like dichloromethane and chloroform. This compound is a premier catalyst in cross-coupling reactions, including Suzuki-Miyaura, Heck, Stille, and Negishi couplings, where it facilitates carbon-carbon bond formation with high efficiency and functional group tolerance. The dppf ligand provides a rigid, electron-rich environment that enhances catalytic activity and selectivity, particularly in sterically demanding substrates. It is also employed in Buchwald-Hartwig amination and carbonylation reactions. Pd(dppf)Cl_ is widely used in both academic research and industrial pharmaceutical synthesis due to its robustness and reproducibility. It should be stored under dry, inert conditions to prevent decomposition. While generally handled with standard laboratory precautions, it may cause irritation upon contact and should be used in a fume hood.
