    Product Description:
(7S,11S)-7,15,17-trihydroxy-11-methyl-12-oxabicyclo[12.4.0]octadeca-1(14),15,17-trien-13-one, commonly known as B-Gibberellin A4 (B-GA4) or B-Gibberellin A7 (B-GA7), is a stereoisomer of the natural plant hormone gibberellin A4/A7. It is a tetracyclic diterpenoid carboxylic acid derivative with a complex fused ring structure containing hydroxyl and lactone functional groups. Its primary and most significant application is in agriculture as a highly effective plant growth regulator. It is a key active component in commercial products used to promote fruit set, increase fruit size (especially in seedless grapes), and improve crop yield in various fruits and vegetables. It functions by mimicking endogenous gibberellins, stimulating cell division and elongation. In the pharmaceutical and research domains, gibberellins and their analogs, including B-GA4/A7, are studied for their biological activities. They have been investigated in the context of endocrine and metabolic processes, although their therapeutic use in humans is not established. This compound serves as a valuable biochemical tool for studying gibberellin signaling pathways in plants and exploring potential interactions in other biological systems.
