Product Description:

Estradiol cypionate is a synthetic, long-acting ester derivative of the natural estrogen, estradiol. It is formed by esterifying estradiol with cyclopentylpropionic acid. This modification significantly increases the lipophilicity and oil solubility of the parent hormone, leading to a prolonged duration of action when administered via intramuscular injection. Its primary and well-defined application is in human and veterinary medicine as a hormonal therapeutic agent. In human medicine, it is used in combination with progestins in some hormonal contraceptives and for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to manage symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes and vaginal atrophy. In veterinary medicine, particularly for livestock, it is employed to synchronize estrus, treat certain reproductive disorders, and promote growth. As a potent estrogen, it exerts its effects by binding to and activating estrogen receptors in target tissues.
