    Product Description:
Sodium dicyanamide is an inorganic salt with the formula NaN(CN)_. It is a white crystalline solid, highly soluble in water and polar organic solvents, serving as a stable source of the dicyanamide anion. Its primary application is as a versatile building block in organic synthesis, particularly for introducing the dicyanamide functional group into heterocycles and pharmaceutical intermediates. It is also widely used as a precursor for energetic materials and as an electrolyte additive in lithium-ion batteries to improve performance and safety. In polymer chemistry, it acts as a curing agent for epoxy resins and a component in flame-retardant formulations. Due to its hygroscopic nature, it should be stored in a dry environment. It is generally considered non-hazardous under normal handling conditions but should be kept away from strong acids to avoid decomposition.
