    Product Description:
Delmadinone acetate is a synthetic steroidal progestogen with anti-androgenic properties. It is chemically known as 6-chloro-17α-acetoxy-1,2α-methylenepregna-4,6-diene-3,20-dione. This compound is structurally related to chlormadinone acetate and medroxyprogesterone acetate. Its primary application is in veterinary medicine, where it is used as an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) for the treatment of various conditions in dogs and cats. It is indicated for the suppression of libido and associated behavioral problems in male dogs, as well as for the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Its mechanism of action involves binding to progesterone receptors and exerting a potent anti-androgenic effect by inhibiting the secretion of gonadotropins, thereby reducing testosterone production. Delmadinone acetate is typically administered via subcutaneous injection. It is considered a prescription veterinary drug and is not approved for use in food-producing animals or in humans.
