    Product Description:
N-[3,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-N'-[(1R,2R)-2-(piperidin-1-yl)cyclohexyl]thiourea is a potent and selective small-molecule ligand for the von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) E3 ubiquitin ligase. It is a key component in the development of Proteolysis-Targeting Chimeras (PROTACs) and other targeted protein degradation (TPD) technologies. The compound features a (1R,2R)-2-(piperidin-1-yl)cyclohexyl group, which is a well-established VHL-binding motif, linked via a thiourea bridge to a 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl group. This molecule serves as a crucial warhead or "anchor" for recruiting the VHL E3 ligase complex to a protein of interest (POI). By conjugating this VHL ligand to a ligand for a specific target protein through a suitable linker, researchers can design heterobifunctional PROTAC molecules. These PROTACs induce the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of the POI. It is a fundamental building block in chemical biology and drug discovery for creating degraders targeting various disease-relevant proteins, including those previously considered "undruggable."
