    Product Description:
2-(4-Morpholinyl)-16-(1-pyrrolidinyl)-androst-3,17-diol is a synthetic steroidal compound. It is a derivative of androstanediol, structurally modified with morpholine and pyrrolidine substituents at the 2- and 16-positions, respectively. This compound is primarily known as a key intermediate in the synthesis of selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs). Specifically, it is a crucial precursor in the production of Ostarine (Enobosarm, MK-2866, GTx-024), a well-known SARM developed for the treatment of conditions like muscle wasting (cachexia) associated with cancer and other chronic diseases. Its role is pivotal in constructing the core pharmacophore of the final active pharmaceutical ingredient (API). As a specialized intermediate with a defined and singular pathway towards a specific API, its use is almost exclusively confined to pharmaceutical research and development processes. It is not a general-purpose building block for broad organic synthesis.
