    Product Description:
N-Benzylethanolamine is an organic compound featuring both a primary amine and a primary alcohol functional group, linked by an ethylene bridge and substituted with a benzyl group. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a boiling point of approximately 285°C. Its primary industrial application is as a chemical intermediate. It serves as a key building block in the synthesis of various pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and dyes. For instance, it is used in the production of certain local anesthetics and antispasmodic agents. Furthermore, due to its amphiphilic structure (containing both hydrophilic -OH/-NH2 and hydrophobic benzyl group), it finds use as a precursor for cationic surfactants and emulsifiers in various industrial formulations. The compound should be handled with care as it can cause skin and eye irritation. It is hygroscopic and should be stored in a cool, dry place under an inert atmosphere to prevent degradation.
